In April 2022, Queensrÿche returned to the stage with renewed energy during a five-week North American tour supporting Judas Priest. More than a comeback after the pandemic pause, the tour marked a powerful resurgence for the Bellevue, Washington band. Building on the momentum of their 2019 album The Verdict, the band found itself reenergized and creatively aligned. That momentum carried into the release of their 16th studio album, Digital Noise Alliance, which blends their signature progressive metal sound with a modern edge while reinforcing their legacy as pioneers in the genre.

With more than 20 million albums sold worldwide, Queensrÿche has built a reputation for pushing boundaries and evolving their sound. Working again with producer Chris 'Zeuss' Harris, Digital Noise Alliance reflects both the band’s history and forward-thinking approach. The album draws from classics like Empire and Operation: Mindcrime, while delivering fresh and dynamic tracks that connect with modern listeners. Songs such as “In Extremis” and “Tormentum” highlight the band’s blend of technical musicianship and meaningful storytelling, reinforcing their impact on the hard rock and heavy metal landscape.

The creative process behind Digital Noise Alliance was shaped by the isolation of the COVID 19 era, which sparked new ideas and emotional depth. Vocalist Todd La Torre, guitarist Michael Wilton, and bassist Eddie Jackson collaborated closely to build the album from the ground up with a focus on in person creation. By revisiting vintage equipment from their early years and combining it with modern production techniques, the band crafted a sound that feels both nostalgic and current. The result is an album that captures the essence of Queensrÿche, delivering thoughtful lyrics, strong melodies, and a progressive metal style that continues to influence the genre.
