Richard Patrick is the frontman of Filter, known for his multifaceted career spanning more than 30 years in music, collaborations, film scoring, and soundtracks. Before forming Filter in 1993, Patrick toured with Nine Inch Nails from 1989 to 1993. Filter’s platinum-selling albums Short Bus and Title of Record delivered hit singles “Hey Man Nice Shot” and “Take a Picture,” establishing the band as a force in alternative rock.

Filter celebrated 30 years with the 2023 release of The Algorithm, followed by The Algorithm: Ultra Edition in 2025, featuring remixes, additional tracks, and covers of songs by U2 and Billie Eilish. Patrick has also earned an Emmy for his work scoring a documentary. Filter continues to tour in 2026, with a new album expected later in the year.
